Tobacco & Youth

Each day in the United States, more than 3,200 people younger than 18 years of age smoke their first cigarette, and an estimated 2,100 youth and young adults who have been occasional smokers become daily cigarette smokers. In this program we provide education to the students on the negative effects of tobacco on their health and encourage them to maintain a healthy lifestyle free of tobacco.

Grade Level: 7th – 12th grade

Duration of the program: 60 minutes

  3. Chemicals found in cigarettes
  4. Consequences of using tobacco
  5. Secondhand smoke health effects
