Miami-Dade Area Health Education Center (MDAHEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving all of Miami-Dade County with free and low-cost health education, continuing medical education (CME/CE) credits, and community wellness programs. For over 39 years, we've helped health science students launch careers, healthcare professionals stay current, and Miami-Dade families access the screenings and education they need to live healthier lives.

HEALTHY SELF COLLABORATORY

All of our Programs are conducted through the Health Self Collaboratory (HSC), with primary focus on Community Health Workers and Health Professions Students in the role of Community Health Educators.

Current HSC programs include:

  1. Stanford Chronic Disease Self Management Program (CDSMP)
  2. Community Based Colorectal Cancer Education & Screening
  3. Community Based Breast Cancer Education & Screening
  4. Tobacco Cessation
  5. Healthy Heart
